Overview
Arrive at “3 Mile” for a true western experience with delicious comfort food. Before you eat, enjoy some western-style activities like lassoing and horseshoes.
This adventure is great for families and is offered for both lunch and dinner. The BBQ site was renovated in 2023, providing a neat and comfortable setting with covered outdoor seating.
Group bookings for cowboy cookouts are available, including exclusive use for groups of up to 60 people.

Dietary requests
Our establishment is located in a remote backcountry area. Due to our unique location, our kitchen operates with limited resources. We are unable to accommodate requests beyond our set menus (steak dinner or vegetarian dinner).
*Please note that our kitchen contains common allergens, including but not limited to: dairy, wheat, soy, sesame, mustards, garlic, tree nuts, peanuts, eggs and egg products.

Booking Terms
- Riders must check in at least 30 minutes prior to departure.
- Children aged 12 years and under must be accompanied in the wagon by a legal guardian. Children aged 13-17 years must have a legal guardian on the ride with them (wagon or horseback).
- Infants are free of charge, but this does not include any food.
- All adults must sign a waiver prior to the ride. A waiver must also be completed by the legal guardian of any child under the age of 18.
- Photo ID may be required for identity verification.
- By participating in a tour, guests are acknowledging that they understand that we may take video and photographs of them during their tour. These videos and photographs may be used in promotional materials including, but not limited to, social media.
- Refunds are not issued if guests are disqualified from riding due to not meeting these requirements. Please note our cookouts require a minimum of 4 participants, please call us 24 hours prior to your tour to confirm your booking.
- By participating in a tour with Discover Banff Tours or Banff Trail Riders, guests are acknowledging that they understand that we may take video and photographs of them during their tour. These videos and photographs may be used in promotional materials including, but not limited to, social media.
- A 10% gratuity is mandatory for all group bookings of 10 or more guests. This gratuity helps us ensure high-quality service for larger groups. If the gratuity option is not selected at the time of booking, our team will contact you directly to arrange for this payment prior to your tour.
