These terms apply to all bookings made with Discover Banff Tours. By booking a tour with us, you agree to these terms.
Booking + Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. Bookings are confirmed by email; please review the details + reply immediately if anything is incorrect.
Cancellations — Public Tours: Cancellations made at least 24 hours before departure receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure and no-shows are non-refundable. Rescheduling to another date within the same season may be possible, subject to availability.
Third-Party Products: Some third-party products have different cancellation terms. Please refer to the FAQs in the product listing for the applicable cancellation policy.
Cancellations — Private Sightseeing:
- Half-Day, Full-Day and À La Carte: Cancellations made more than 30 days before departure receive a full refund. Cancellations made 30 days or less before departure are non-refundable.
- Long-Haul: Cancellations made more than 60 days before departure receive a full refund. Cancellations made 60 days or less before departure are non-refundable.
- Terms may differ for larger programs and block bookings. Please refer to the terms provided with your booking.
Cancellations — Transfers: Cancellations made at least 7 days before departure receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 7 days before departure and no-shows are non-refundable.
Weather and Operator Cancellations: Tours operate rain or shine. We only cancel for safety (lightning, extreme road conditions, wildfire smoke at unsafe AQI). Guide judgment is final. If we cancel, full refund or free rebooking.
Waivers: Certain activities (rafting, helicopter, dogsled, horseback, snowmobile, ice walks) require a signed liability waiver before participation. See /waivers for details.
Medical conditions + pregnancy: Disclose at booking. Pregnant guests, guests with heart conditions, and guests under medical care should consult their physician before booking adventure activities.
Personal property: We take reasonable care of belongings but are not responsible for items lost, damaged, or stolen during the trip.
Photography: We may take photos for marketing. Let your guide know if you prefer not to appear.
Force majeure: Neither party liable for failure to perform due to events outside reasonable control. We will work in good faith to reschedule or refund.
Governing law: Laws of the Province of Alberta + federal laws of Canada. Disputes resolved in Alberta courts.
