How long is the tour?+
The tour runs for 1 hour and 40 minutes, beginning at 7:00pm. Please arrive at 6:45pm to check-in for your tour. The tour will finish at approximately 8:40pm.
What does the tour include?+
This tour includes a 1 hour and 40 minute guided walking tour stopping at key locations in downtown Banff, and a knowledgeable interpretive guide who will share iconic local ghost stories and lesser known paranormal tales.
Where is the meeting point?+
Meet your guide on the Banff Good Earth Coffeehouse patio. Your guide will be wearing a Black T-shirt with a Banff Canmore Ghost Walks logo. There may also be a flag and a lantern present on the patio entry.
How far will we walk? Is it hard?+
The tour will be around 3 kilometres in length, on flat, paved pathways. There will be a slight elevation gain, and the walking will be at a brisk pace.
What should I wear/bring?+
The tour is entirely outdoors. Please wear comfortable, appropriate footwear (no heels or open toed shoes) and bring a water bottle. Weather can change quickly in the Bow Valley, and nights are often cool so please dress prepared for rain, shine or cooler temperatures. Please wear/bring warm clothing even in summer months.
What is the cancellation policy?+
There is a 24 hour cancellation policy, which allows you to change, cancel, or refund your booking up to 24 hours prior to your tour (or up to 7 days prior for group bookings).
What if the weather is bad?+
We operate rain or shine and run tours in most weather conditions. We recommend dressing appropriately for the forecast and bringing rain gear if needed. In the event of severe weather or conditions that make it unsafe to operate, our team will contact guests directly regarding any changes to their tour
Should I tip my guide?+
Tips are not expected, but are certainly appreciated. If you think your guide did a wonderful job and would like to indicate that with a tip, it will be graciously accepted.

  • The minimum age is 8 years.
  • All adults must sign a waiver prior to the tour. A waiver must also be completed by the parent or guardian of any child under the age of 18.
  • Photo ID may be required for identity verification.
  • This tour requires a minimum of 4 participants. Please call 2 hours prior to your tour to confirm that minimum numbers have been met.
