Overview

Enjoy a round-trip transfer between Canmore and Banff combined with a guided sightseeing tour of Banff's most iconic landmarks. Travel comfortably from Canmore, then in the morning discover highlights such as Bow Falls, the Fairmont Banff Springs, and Lake Minnewanka, while your guide shares stories of the region's history, wildlife, and natural wonders.

Following the Banff tour, you will be picked up at the designated pickup location in Banff to join another tour to explore the famous Moraine & Lake Louise in the afternoon. After your day packed with sights, you will return from Banff with a transfer back to Canmore. With the chance to spot local wildlife and light refreshments included, this year-round experience offers a seamless blend of transportation, guided discovery, and independent exploration.

Please note that tours starting from Calgary and Canmore consist of a guided tour plus a shared group shuttle to Banff. The shuttle picks up guests for all of our tours once each morning — around 6:00am from Calgary and 7:10am from Canmore — and you will change vehicles in Banff to meet your guide for the day. The return shared group shuttle departs Banff at around 6:30pm.

How long is the tour?+
The total trip time including shuttles is about 11.5 hours.
What does the tour include?+
The full-day tour includes transportation from selected hotels in Canmore, a guided bus tour to see some of the local highlights such as the iconic Banff Springs Hotel, Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka and both famous Lakes - Moraine& Louise. The tour includes transfer transportation between Canmore and Banff and two tours with connecting pickup in Banff. Light refreshments, including a maple cookie snack and hot chocolate or fresh water (depending on the time of year), and hands-on interpretive tools.
Where is our pick up and drop off from?+
We pick up from selected hotels in Canmore. You can choose from the following options: Coast Canmore Hotel, Malcolm Hotel by Clique, Pocaterra Inn
Is there a lot of walking involved?+
Only half your time is spent on the bus, and at every stop you will have the opportunity to get off the bus and stretch your legs. All of the viewpoints are a short walk.
Will I see wildlife on the tour?+
There is a chance of seeing wildlife on the tour and we often spot animals, however we do not guarantee seeing wildlife on any of our tours. Our guides have a lot of knowledge about the animals within the park and can fill you in about them if you see any wildlife or if you have any questions.
What is the cancellation policy?+
We require 72 hours notice prior to departure to change/cancel or refund a tour without penalty. Group bookings of 9 or more guests, as well as custom and private bookings, have a 7 day cancellation period.
Should I tip my guide?+
Tips are not expected, but are certainly appreciated. If you think your guide did a wonderful job and would like to indicate that with a tip, it will be graciously accepted.
How does the Canmore return option work?+
Guests departing from Canmore will travel to Banff on a shared group shuttle. Upon arrival, you will change vehicles and meet your guide for the day. Some excursions include free time to explore Banff afterward. At 6:30 p.m., you will join the shared group shuttle back to Canmore.
Will I have free time in Banff before returning to Canmore?+
Guests booked on the return-to-Canmore option will have free time in Banff before returning to Canmore. This free time can be used to explore downtown Banff, enjoy a meal, browse local shops, or simply relax and take in the mountain scenery before your return shared group shuttle at 6:30pm.

  • Children aged 15 years and under must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.
  • All children, including infants, require a ticket to be able to participate.
  • Photo ID may be required for identity verification.
